From Educator to Counselor

My journey from education to counselling psychology has been shaped by a deep commitment to learning how to support others through life's challenges.

Therapeutic Environment

As a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student, I am eager to apply my academic training and over a decade of experience in education to clinical practice. My background has provided me with foundational skills in crisis intervention, individualized care planning, and working with diverse populations including marginalized and immigrant communities.

Through my graduate studies, I have developed a strong theoretical foundation in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Attachment Theory. I am seeking a practicum placement where I can develop my clinical skills under supervision while creating safe, culturally-informed therapeutic spaces.
